Connecting Restaurant & Soup Kitchen
Provision recently introduced Seoul Kitchen, a Westford, MA restaurant, to Life Connection Center, a Lowell, MA soup kitchen. Restaurant Owner, Jay Chung wanted to get involved in serving quality food to those in need in the local community. He also wanted to engage his employees in serving the poor and learning about needs in nearby communities. Since being introduced to Life Connection Center, Jay and his staff prepare and serve a healthy, hot meal to approximately 120 people each month. This new partnership is a win-win for all: Seoul Kitchen, and Life Connection Center and the people they serve.
This partnership is a great example of how a business owner can impact the community and demonstrate corporate responsibility. Authentic corporate involvement in the community has benefits far beyond the obvious. Besides meeting the needs of people, helping others is personally rewarding to employees serving others together. Also, people gain an awareness of the needs of people around them. Non-profit organizations benefit greatly from support of corporations which enables them to be more effective in helping others.
Provision connects people and resources to people in need.
